To improve the user experience for Owners and Speciality Contractors with Procore company accounts, Procore is pleased to announce two (2) new Point-of-View (POV) dictionaries. These POV dictionaries are available to customers in the United States and Canada who are using Procore's United States (en-US) dictionary. When applied to your company's Procore account, these dictionaries change the labels and names of particular tools and objects in the user interface.

How is the terminology different between each POV dictionary?

The table below details the differences between each point-of-view dictionary. The terms that you see in Procore's user interface are changed when the corresponding dictionary is applied in your environment by Procore.

How do I enable a POV dictionary in my environment?

To enable a POV dictionary on your company's Procore account, your Procore Administrator must submit an email request to your Procore point of contact. You can choose to have Procore enable one (1) of the following dictionaries for you:

  • English (Speciality Contractor Terminology)
  • English (Owner Terminology V2)

Once enabled, it is important for you and your end users to be aware of the following:

 Important
  • If you choose to implement one of Procore's point-of-view dictionaries at the company level, Procore recommends informing your users that changing the dictionary settings on a project (or at the user level) overrides the company-level setting.
  • For best results, always set the Project Dictionary and User Dictionary settings to None.  See Can I change the language of my Company, Project or User in Procore?
  • Content for the Client Contracts, Funding, and Progress Billings tools is only available on the United States English version of the Procore Support Site.
