'Dynamic Approver Due Dates' for Submittals
Procore released a new setting on the Submittals tool to simplify the steps taken by users managing the submittals review process if and when a designated 'Submitter' or 'Approver' updates their response before or after the due dates entered. The 'Dynamic Approver Due Dates' setting can be enabled by a user with 'Admin' level permissions to the Submittals tool.
When a submittal's workflow includes multiple users and one or more users update their responses early or late, the system will automatically adjust the due dates for any remaining users in the workflow based on the number of days each user is given to submit or respond. This will help ensure that approvers are provided with the contractually agreed upon amount of time to review and respond to submittals.

The new 'Dynamic Approver Due Dates' tickbox can be found on the Configure Settings page of the Submittals tool.
Enabling this setting will also add an editable 'Days to Submit/Respond' column to the 'Submittal Workflow.'
Why is this important?
Project engineers and submittal managers wanted an automated process for adjusting the submittal workflow due dates so that the due date for subsequent steps in the workflow would provide approvers with the contractually obligated amount of time to respond. This update eliminates the need to manually update approver due dates if and when an approver adds a response before or after the planned due date.
