Models
Dynamic 2D Views Now Available for the Models Tool on iPads
Procore has released a new feature, Dynamic 2D Views, for the Models tool on the Procore app for iPads. See Getting Started Guide for Dynamic 2D Views in the Models Tool. This feature allows site teams to see specific dimensions of objects on a coordinated model with a tap of the screen. Users can quickly zoom in and out to see the centreline or outside dimensions of any objects within the model. See View Models (iOS) and Why aren't my grids aligned in the Models tool?
Being able to examine the dimensions further also helps teams ensure that everything will be installed exactly according to the plan. You can also use the new 'Tape Measure' feature to make additional measurements. See Measure Distances on a Model (iOS). With the Dynamic 2D Views feature allowing you to create elevation drawings directly from the model, you won't need to recreate lift drawings in a different authoring solution.
Submittals
Columns Added to Submittals List with Supported Custom Fields
Users can now show, hide or rearrange columns on the project's submittals list with data from custom fields (excluding 'Rich Text (Long)' and 'Read Only Entry' custom fields). Additionally, columns with data from 'Number', 'Date', 'Checkbox' and 'Plain Text (Short)' custom fields can be used to sort the submittals list. See Search for and Filter Submittals. Note that columns for custom fields are hidden by default. See Customise the Column Display in the Submittals Tool for information about showing, hiding and rearranging columns in the submittals list.
