Send a Message in a Group Conversation (Beta)

Objective
To send a message in a group conversation in the Conversations tool.
Background
When you create a group conversation in the Conversations tool, you can send a group message to a designated team members at the same time. These group messages can be viewed and replied by team members in the Groups section of the Conversations tool, organised by project.
If you want to message multiple individuals that are not necessarily in a specific group, you can also send a direct message. See Send a Direct Message Using the Conversations Tool.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- You must exist in a project's Directory and be a member of a group that has been created for the project.
Note: Only Project Admins can create groups. See Create a Group in the Conversations Tool.

- Additional Information:
- If you want to send a message to multiple individuals, without creating a group, you can also start a direct message to send to those individuals at one time. Send a Direct Message in the Conversations Tool.
Steps
- Navigate to the Conversations tool (click the conversations
icon in the top menu of Procore). - In the Groups section, click the group you want to send a message to.
- Enter a message in the text box.
Notes:- If you want to tag an individual in a conversation, type the @ symbol on your keyboard and select their name. See Mention a User in a Conversation.
- You can add a photo to your message by dragging the photo into the text box. See How can I attach a photo to my message in the Conversations tool?
- If enabled on the account, you can edit or delete your message within five (5) minutes of sending it. See Edit or Delete a Message in the Conversations Tool.
- When you are ready to send your message, press the ENTER or RETURN key on your keyboard or click the send
icon.
