Below are the notable changes to the company's ERP Integrations tool in 2018.
Updated the Company level ERP Integrations tool for the Procore + Sage 300 CRE integration so the system now checks the Sub Job field for character length. Sage 300 CRE specifies a maximum limit of ten (10) characters on Sub Job names. See Add a Sub Job to a Procore Project and What is the maximum character length for a Sub Job?
If your company's Procore account has enabled the Company level Integrations tool, users with 'Read Only' level permission or higher to the ERP Integrations tool will now be able to click a new 'ERP Integrations' link under the 'Configurations' section of the Budget Tool's sidebar. This provides end users with quicker access to the ERP Integrations tool.
When a budget from an integrated ERP system is synced with the Company level ERP Integrations tool, the following notification message appears in Procore: "Budget is Synced with <integration name>, last job cost update detected <time>". To eliminate confusion for users who do not have synced budgets, this message no longer appears on unsynced projects.
When a user sends a Procore project to the Company level ERP Integrations tool, the controls in the Ready to Update page now provide users with both an Accept and Reject button.
Updated the label on the Export buttons so they now show the name of the integrated ERP system. For example, "Export to Sage 300 CRE.
Added a Vendor Type column on the 'Ready to Export' page in the Company level ERP Integrations tool.
Added a new 'Send and Retrieve Budgets from ERP' granular permission. Previously, only users with 'Admin' level permission could perform this task. Now, privilege to perform this task can be granted to end users with 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permission on the Budget tool. See Directory: New 'Send and Retrieve Budgets from ERP' Granular Permission for ERP Integrations.
Updated the Company level Directory tool's Edit Contact Information page to add the 'ERP ID' field under Company Information. This is useful for correlating companies when your company's Procore account is integrated with one of the systems that can be integrations with Procore's Company level ERP Integrations tool.
Updated the ERP Integrations tool so that now, a popup message appears to notify users when a budget in an integrated ERP system has budget data that is ready to be imported. This alerts the user that they can import a budget, instead of going foward with creating a budget line item in Procore.
For users with permission to create projects in Procore, we've streamlined the experience by introducing the new Project Creation Assistant. With this new experience, you can now create projects consistently and efficiently across your company. Configure the project's toolbox, set up cost codes & cost types, add companies & people and upload drawings & specifications in one continuous setup flow. See Portfolio: Introducing the Project Creation Assistant and the article for your integrated ERP system: Add a Procore Project to QuickBooks, Add a Procore Project to Sage 300 CRE, Add a Procore Project to Spectrum and Add a Procore Project to Viewpoint Vista.
Updated the Company level ERP Integrations tool to rename the 'Variations' subtab to the 'Commitment Variations' tab. In the future, Procore will be introducing the "Main Contract Variations" tab, so the system needs to clarify that "Variations" tab is only for "Commitment Variations."
Updated the ERP Integrations tool for the Procore + QuickBooks integration to remove the 'Archived' page from the Budget tab. Because budgets are exported from Procore into QuickBooks, the archive feature in Procore is not used.
If your company has enabled the ERP Integrations tool for use with an integrated ERP system, colour-coded icons and ribbons appear in relevant areas of Procore. This visually highlights the data, to help you quickly identify its current state. For details, see ERP Integrations: Updated Colour Scheme for ERP Icons.
Updated the selections in the 'Add Filter' drop-down list for the Company and Project level Directory tools. Now, if the company account is using an ERP integration (e.g. Integration by Procore: Viewpoint® Spectrum®, Integration by Ryvit: Viewpoint® Vista™, QuickBooks®, Sage 100 Contractor®, Sage 300 CRE®, etc.), the available selection in the list will show the appropriate cost code types that are available (e.g., Sage 300 CRE Cost Code, QuickBooks Cost Code and so on). If the ERP Integrations tool is NOT enabled, this selection reads 'Cost Code' or 'Company Name Cost Code.'
Updated the Main Contract Amount on the 'Ready to Import' page of the ERP Integrations tool. The system now syncs new Main Contract Amount data (if available) in the integrated ERP system on each scheduled sync and each on-demand sync for the ERP-integrated project.
