You can delete projects in Workforce Planning
Note
Projects can be created in either Procore or Workforce Planning, but your company must choose one as your system of record. Your Procore point of contact guides your company through this decision based on your setup.
This article is for customers who have Workforce Planning as their system of record for project creation and management.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool and 'Admin' level permissions within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.
OR
'Read Only' permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool with the 'Delete Projects' granular permission within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.

- Additional Information
- When you bulk delete projects that have workforce assignments in progress, Procore automatically updates the assignment's end date to match the date the project is deleted.
- Note: Assignment Alerts are NOT sent to the assignee. See What is an assignment alert in Workforce Planning?
- When you bulk delete projects, all future assignments are cancelled.

- When you bulk delete projects, all open workforce requests are cancelled.
- If data syncs are enabled:
- Projects that are marked as inactive or deleted in Workforce Planning are marked as 'Inactive' in Procore.
- When you bulk delete projects that have workforce assignments in progress, Procore automatically updates the assignment's end date to match the date the project is deleted.
Prerequisites
Steps
- Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
- Click Projects and select Project List.
- Mark the tickboxes of the projects you want to delete.
- Click Batch Actions and select Batch Delete.
- Click Delete.
