Approve an Action Plan to be Performed

Objective

To approve an action plan in the project's Action Plans tool.

Background

If you have been designated as an Action Plan Approver on an action plan, your signature is requested to confirm the action plan is ready to be performed.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    To be added as an Action Plan Approver:
    • 'Standard' level permissions on project's Action Plans tool with granular permission enabled on your permissions template.
  • Limitations:
    • The action plan cannot be signed by an Action Plan Approver while the action plan is in 'Edit' mode.

Steps

Add Your Own Signature as an Action Plan Approver
  1. Navigate to the project's Action Plans tool.
  2. Click View next to the action plan your signature is requested for.
    Note: If the 'View' button is not clickable, the action plan is in 'Edit' mode and can only be accessed by users with granular permissions enabled on the permission template.
  3. In the 'Action Plan Approvers' field, click the link with your name.
  4. In the 'Sign Below' window, add your signature and click Sign.
     Important
    By clicking "Sign" you are signing this form electronically and agree that your electronic signature is the equivalent of your manual signature.
    A banner displays to confirm the signature is recorded.
Record a Signature for an Action Plan Approver (granular permissions enabled)
  1. Navigate to the project's Action Plans tool.
  2. Click View next to the action plan the signature is requested for.
  3. In the 'Action Plan Approvers' field, click the link with the name of the person whose signature you are recording.
  4. In the 'Sign Below' window, have the person add their signature and click Sign.
    Note: You can only sign as receiver for users your share a company with. Action Plans does not allow you to sign as an receiver for users in another company. 
     Important
