Below are the notable changes to the project's Commitments tool in 2018.

Updated Tool Tips to Reflect Variation Tiers (21/12/2018) 

Updated tool tip text for Change Events to reflect the correct variation tier for both commitments and main contracts.

Added Create & Enter BOQ Button (17/12/2018) 

Users with 'Admin' level permission can now be redirected to the Bill of Quantities tab when creating new commitments using the Create & Enter BOQ button.

Added Delete Confirmation for Markup (11/12/2018) 

When deleting markup, a popup message now appears asking the user to confirm deletion of the markup. 

Added Commitments Custom Fields On Custom Reports (2/11/2018) 

Commitments Custom Fields on Custom Reports is now available for all users.

New Alert Messages for Links in Emails Sent from the Commitment's Tool (30/8/2018)

When a project collaborator (i.e., a subcontract) has been sent an email about a commitment and has not been granted the appropriate permissions to view that information, the system now provides the user with an alert message when the user clicks the View in Procore or View Online links. To request permissions, the collaborator should contact the company's Procore Administrator.

Export PDFs Now Include Signed PDFs from DocuSign (7/6/2018)

Updated the Project level Commitments & Main Contracts tool for the Procore + DocuSign integration. Now, when a commitment or main contract has been signed by all recipients, the Export PDF option will export the signed PDF of the contract and any attachments sent to DocuSign.

Updated the View Private Subcontracts & View Private Purchase Orders Granular Permission (5/6/2018)

Updated the 'View Private Subcontracts' and 'View Private Purchase Orders' granular permission, which now allows users assigned either of those granular permissions to view all variations associated with that subcontract and/or purchase order.

New Send to DocuSign Button in Billings Tab (1/6/2018)

Added a 'Send to DocuSign' button to the Billings tab of the Project level Commitments tool. Users can now select the checkboxes that correspond to the desired payment applications on this page and then click the button to send those payment applications in to DocuSign for electronic signatures.

Updated File Attachment Permission for Payment Applications (21/5/2018)

Now, users with 'Standard' level permission on the Commitments tool or the designated 'Payment Application Contact' can attach files to a payment application after its been submitted for review. This means that these users can now attach files when a payment application's status is not set to 'Draft' or 'Revise and Resubmit'. 

Added a 'Contract Type' Filter to the Billings Tab (14/5/2018)

Added the ability for users to filter by "Contract Type" in the Add Filter dropdown menu on Commitments Billings tab page. When this filter is added, the checkbox selections that appear are "Purchase Order" and "Subcontract".

Added Ability To Export The Commitments Billings Table (11/5/2018) 

Added ability to export the table in Billings tab of the Commitments tool to PDF. This PDF will respect the grouping, filter, search and expanding/collapsing of rows applied.

Update the Status of Multiple Payment Applications in Edit Mode (3/5/2018)

End users can now change the status of multiple payment applications at one time. To do this, navigate to the Commitments tool and click the Billings tab, click the new Edit button. In the Status drop-down menu, select the desired status and click the Save Edits button. This applies the selected status on all of the specified payment applications. 

Added Informational Fields to the Email Notifications for the Payment Applications Tool (1/5/2018) 

Updated the email notifications from Procore related to payment applications workflow. Outgoing emails now include these fields: Contract Company, Contract Title, Status and Amount.  Also added the company name to email subject lines on the 'Action Required' and 'State Change' notifications.

'Void' Moved to Status Drop Down List (30/4/2018) 

Updated the Variations, Commitments and Main Contract tool to remove the 'Void' tickbox from the Variation PV and Commitments PV forms. There is now a 'Void' selection in the 'Status' drop-down list for variations so the tickbox is no longer be needed. See Create a Main Contract Variation and Create a Commitment Variation CV.

Attach Non-PDF File Types to DocuSign Envelope (10/4/2018)

Added support so users now have the ability to attach non-PDF file types to the DocuSign Envelope when sending a Commitment, Main Contract, Variation, Payment Application or Payment Application to DocuSign for signature.

Updated Link In Email Sent From Commitments Tool (4/4/2018)

When an end user was emailed a main contract or commitment, the email message sent from Procore, the hyperlinks in the email were not clear as to whether the link would send the user to Procore or download a PDF version of a contract. To address this issue, the 'View PDF' link underneath the 'View This Contract' has been renamed to 'View in Procore'.

Added 'Executed' Column To The Commitments Tool (28/3/2018)

Updated the Commitments tool by adding an Executed column that is inline-editable.

New 'Contract Signer' Field in the Directory Tool for DocuSign (22/3/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tool to add a new Contract Signer drop-down list to the Create and Edit pages for company records. This new field appears in the General tab. When you select a person associated with the company from this drop-down field, the Procore + DocuSign integration will automatically populate with this person's name as a DocuSign signature recipient for contracts (i.e., the Commitments and Main Contract tools) and variations (i.e., Commitment Variation, Main Contract Variation and Main Contract Potential Variation). Added 'Payment Application Contacts' to Directory & Show Vendor as 'Contract Company' in Commitments Tool (23/2/2018)

Updated the Company Directory tool's Edit Company page to add a 'Payment Application Contacts' drop-down menu. This gives users the ability to set one or more payment application contacts for each vendor record in a company's Procore account. This change also affects the Project level Commitments tool, so that when users create or edit commitments that correspond to a vendor, that contact's name is selected in the "Contract Company" field on the commitment contract.

Now Showing More Payment Application Info in My Open Items (22/2/2018)

Updated the Company level Portfolio tool and the Project level Home page so that the 'My Open Items' area now displays both the Requisition Number and Billing Period information in the 'Details' field. This information comes from the Project level Commitments tool. Prior to this update, the My Open Items table only displayed the Requisition Number. Added the 'Signature' and 'Date Signed' Fields to DocuSign Envelope (16/2/2018)

Updated the Commitments tool (Payment Applications) and the Main Contract tool (Payment Applications) to add the automatically placed "Signature" and "Date Signed" fields (tags) to the DocuSign Envelope.

Status Changes to 'Approved' After Completed DocuSign Signature (14/2/2018)

Implemented a change on the Project level Commitments tool (for work order and purchase order contracts) and also on the Project level Main Contract tool so that now the items status changes to 'Approved' after e-signatures are completed in DocuSign.

Payment Application Contact Now Populates DocuSign Envelopes for Payment Applications (14/2/2018)

Implemented a change so that each 'Payment Application Contact' on a commitment will automatically populate on the DocuSign envelope as a 'Subcontractor' recipient for payment applications.

Added 'Contract Dates' to Custom Commitment Reports (12/2/2018) 

Added 'Contract Dates' to custom commitment reports.

Now Setting Value in Executed Field to 'No' When User Clicks Withdraw (8/2/2018)

Implemented a change that affects the Main Contract, Commitments and Variations tools so that if a user clicks 'Withdraw' on the DocuSign banner in Procore and then confirms to withdraw the Docusign envelope, the value in the 'Executed' field is set back to 'No'.

New Confirmation Messages for the Procore + DocuSign Integration (5/2/2018)

Added new confirmation messages that appear when (1) a user clicks the 'Void' button on the BLUE DocuSign Pending Banner or (2) a user clicks the 'Withdraw' button on the GREEN DocuSign Complete Banner. This new message prompts the user to confirm the void or withdraw action and appears in the Commitments, Documents and Main Contract tools when the Procore + DocuSign integration is enabled.

DocuSign Signature Completion Updates Variation Status to 'Approved' (5/2/2018) 

For companies using the Procore + DocuSign integration, we've updated the Project level Commitments and Project level Main Contract tool so that now, when signatures are completed in DocuSign for a variation, its status is updated to 'Approved'. This applies to Main Contract Variations, Potential Variations and Commitment Variations. 

Added the Procore + DocuSign Integration to Payment Applications (30/1/2018) 

Updated the project's Commitments tool to add the Procore + DocuSign Integration to payment applications. 

Added 'Edit' Button To Procore + DocuSign Integration Banners (19/1/2018) 

Added a new 'Edit' Button on the Signature Pending and Signature Completed banners that display for end users who are using the Procore + DocuSign Integration (see DocuSign). When a user clicks this button, the system reveals the Edit page of the DocuSign envelope. Banners have been updated in the Commitments, Variations,  and Documents tools. Added SBOQ Detail Line Items To Commitment Contract PDFs (5/1/2018) 

Added subcontractor bill of quantities (SBOQ) detail line items to be displayed by default on the commitments contract PDF for both work order and purchase order contracts that have SBOQ enabled.
