Create a Project Permission Template from the Project Directory
Objective
To create a project permission template from the Project Directory.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permission:
- 'Admin' level permissions on the Project level Directory.
- Additional Information:
- Granular permissions can only be enabled on permission templates created in the company's Permissions tool. See Grant Granular Permissions in a Permission Template.
- After they are created, project specific permission templates can only be edited by users with 'Admin' level permissions on the company's Permissions tool. See Edit a Permission Template.
- To create global permission templates in the company's Permissions tool, see Create a Permission Template.
Demo
Steps
- Navigate to the Project level Directory tool.
- Click Edit next to the user who you want to create a new permission template for.
- Scroll to 'Project Permission Templates'.
- Select Do Not Apply A Permission Template from the 'Project Permission Templates' drop-down menu.
- Select the buttons for the permission levels you want to assign for the permission template for each tool in the permissions table.
Note: Granular permissions can only be enabled on permission templates created in the company's Permissions tool. See Grant Granular Permissions in a Permission Template. - Under the 'Create New Template From These Permissions' section in the 'Project Permission Templates' drop-down menu, select New Project Specific Permission Template.
- Enter a name for the permission template in the window that appears and click OK.
