To delete a folder or file in Procore Drive

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Admin' level permissions to a project's Documents tool in Procore.
  • Additional Information:
    • Although you can delete a file in Procore, it's Procore's policy to never permanently delete customer data. Deleted files or folders are relocated to the Recycle Bin and can be recovered, if necessary. In some unique situations, you may need a folder/file to be permanently deleted from our databases. In such cases, please contact your Procore point of contact.
    • To select multiple items at once, hold down the SHIFT or CONTROL (CTRL) key on your keyboard while clicking on files.
    • To navigate back to a previous screen, click the "< >" arrows at the top left of Procore Drive.
    • To refresh the window you are viewing within Procore Drive, click the refresh button similar to the one in your web browser.


  1. Select a company and project in Procore Drive.
  2. Click the Documents tab.
  3. Find the specific folder or file that you want to delete.
    Note: You can navigate through your folders on the right window or the file tree by double-clicking folders and files.
  4. To delete the file or folder:
    • Right-click any file/folder in the file tree and click Delete
      From viewer on the right side, double click the file or you want to delete. Click Delete and confirm the action in the confirmation window.
