Procore Estimating: Change the Cost Type of Items in the Material Catalogs

New Catadiary Item Types in the Cost Catalogues

In addition to the Part and Assembly item types that were already available, Procore Estimating now supports the following cost item types: Equipment, Subcontractor, Travel, Labour and Custom. This means that you can change the cost item types for items as needed, even after importing items to Procore Estimating. You can also choose from any of these cost item types when adding a new item to the Cost Catalogues. 


Note: Items labelled as the Labour cost item type cannot be changed to another cost item type and items with other cost item types cannot be changed to Labour. 

Steps

1. Navigate to your account in Procore Estimating.
2. Click Cost Catalogues.
3. Click the vertical ellipsis  icon for the relevant item.
4. Click Edit. 
5. Click the Catadiary Item Type drop-down menu and select the cost type you want to assign to the item. The following types are available:
   • Part
   • Assembly
   • Equipment
   • Subcontractor
   • Travel
   • Labour
   • Custom
6. Click Save.
