Background

When creating or editing a project in Procore, there is a 'Code' field that is hidden by default. See Create a New Project or Update General Project Information.

Note: The Code field can be designated as Required, Optional or Hidden in the Company level Admin tool. See Create a Default Project Fieldset.

tool (currently in a closed beta), the abbreviation entered in the Code field populates as the Project field for naming standards.

Example
If the project name is Vortex Business Centre, you might enter VBC for the project code. If the naming standard has the Project field active, VBC would show where the Project field exists in the naming convention.
