Why are my file uploads failing?
Background
There are many areas and tools in Procore that allow you to upload files. If a file fails to upload, you will see an error message that the upload failed.
Answer
File uploads can fail in Procore due to several factors, such as a slow or interrupted internet connection, a file size being larger than the upload limit or a file being corrupt.
- If a file is larger than 2GB, we recommend uploading it to the Documents tool through Procore's web application or Procore Drive. See How can I upload large files to the Procore Web App? and Upload Files into a Folder in Procore Drive. Files uploaded to the Documents tool can then be attached to other items and tools in the same project.
- Make sure you have a reliable network connection while uploading files to Procore.
- If your uploads to the Drawings or Specifications tools are failing, see Why are my drawing uploads failing? and Why are my specification uploads failing?
If your file upload continues to fail, please contact Procore Support for assistance.
