Clone a Custom Company Report
Objective
To copy a custom report so you do not have to duplicate it manually. Cloning a report enables you to quickly create a new report that is pre-populated with the results and visualization from the original report.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Admin' level permission on the company's Report tool
OR - The report must be shared with you. See Share a Custom Company Report.
- 'Admin' level permission on the company's Report tool
- Additional Information:
- You can clone any reports that you have created, as well as any reports that have been shared with you.
- Once a user clones a report, their cloned copy will only have information that they can see. If you update the source report, it does NOT update the clone.
Steps
- Navigate to the Reports tool.
- Close the report as follows:
- Locate the desired report in the list. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) and choose Clone.
OR - Click the desired report in the My Custom Reports list to open it. Then click Clone.
The Cloning successful banner appears,
- Locate the desired report in the list. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) and choose Clone.
- Update your new copy of the report as wanted.
- Click Update Report.
