Bulk Delete Workforce Assignments

Objective

To bulk delete workforce assignments in Workforce Planning.

Background

Workforce assignments allow you to manage your workforce by assigning resources to projects.

Workforce assignments can also be used for forecasting and planning future work. You can keep these assignments private until you are ready to notify the assignee or other members of your team.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions:
  • 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool and 'Admin' level permissions within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.
    OR
    'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool with the 'Create/Edit/Delete Assignments' granular permission within the Workforce Planning tool.  See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.
• Additional Information
  • You can only bulk delete workforce assignments that have not yet started.
  • Assignment alerts are NOT sent when bulk deleting assignments. See What is an assignment alert in Workforce Planning?

Prerequisites

• Create a Workforce Assignment
• Fill a Workforce Request

Steps

1. Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
2. Click Assignments and select Assignments List.
3. Mark the tickboxes of the assignments you want to delete.
4. Click Batch Actions and select Batch Delete.
5. Review the people that are 'Valid' or have 'Conflicts'.
6. Click Delete.
