Search, Sort and Filter the Time Off List

Objective

To search, sort and filter the time off list for your workforce.

Background

The Time Off List provides a list view of all time off for your workforce. You can search, sort and filter the list to find the information you need.

Steps

You can select any one of the options below to locate time off. 

Note: These steps can be completed in any order.

Search Time Off

Complete the steps below to search for time off by entering a person's name or job title in the search bar.

  1. Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
  2. Click Time Off and select Time Off List.
  3. Enter the person's name or job title in the Search Time Off box. Then click the magnifying glass icon or press the ENTER/RETURN key on your keyboard to initiate your search.

Sort Time Off

Complete the steps below to sort the items in the Time Off List.

  1. Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
  2. Click Time Off and select Time Off List.
  3. Click the caret icon-caret2-wfp.png icon next to the name of the header by which you want to sort. Click the caret icon-caret2-wfp.png icon again to switch between ascending and descending sort orders.
    Note: You can update your view to see and sort by additional columns. See View Time Off List.
    Note: Only columns with the caret icon are available for sorting.

Filter Time Off

Complete the steps below filter the items in the Time Off List.

  1. Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
  2. Click Time Off and select Time Off List.
  3. Click the filter icon-filter-wfp.png icon.
  4. Click Matches to filter by details that match your filter or click Doesn't Match to show time off that does NOT match the filter.
  5. Select to filter by:
    • Job Titles. Select this to filter by Job Title, then select the job title by which you want to filter. See Configure Job Titles for Workforce Planning
    • Past Time Off. Select this to filter time off that has already occurred, then select to Show or Hide the past time off.
    • Person Status. Select this to filter to show users by stats, then select Active or Inactive to see those users.
    • Reason. Select this to filter by the reason for a person's time off, then select the reason by which you want to filter.
    • Time Off End Date. Select this to filter by time off that ends 'On or Before,' 'On,' or 'On or After' a designated date, then select the date. Or, select this to see time off that ends 'Within' a certain number of days, then select the number of days.
    • Time Off Start Date. Select this to filter by time off that starts 'On or Before,' 'On,' or 'On or After' a designated date, then select the date. Or, select this to see time off that starts 'Within' a certain number of days, then select the number of days.
  6. Click the tick icon-check-wfp.png to apply the filter(s).
  7. If you want to clear filters that you have applied, click the 'x' next to the filter, then click tick icon-check-wfp.png to clear the filter(s).
  8. If you want to clear additional filters and revert back to default filters, click the rubbish can icon-trash-wfp.png icon.
