New Option for Submitting Tenders by Email
Invited tenderers can now submit a tender to Procore by replying to the tender invitation email with an attachment. See Submit a Tender. This means that tenderers have an option to submit a tender without needing to log in to Procore's Planroom tool and tender solicitors can avoid having to track tenders that were emailed outside of Procore.
Overview
After preparing one or more files to send as their tender submission, an invited tenderer can click 'Reply' on the tender invitation email that they received from an account in Procore, attach any necessary files and send the email to officially submit their tender.
- The following file types are supported:
- .doc
- .docx
- .xls
- .xlsx
- .zip
- .ods
- .odt
- .fods
- .fodt
- .txt
After a tender is submitted by email, the following information is automatically updated in the Tendering tool:
- The 'Bid Status' for the tenderer changes to 'Submitted'
- The 'Last Activity' field shows the text 'Bid was submitted via email', along with the date and time that the email was sent.
The tender solicitor can then open the tenderer's response page to access the submitted files in the Attachments section. See Review Submitted Tenders.
