Admin: Configurable Fieldsets for the Site Diary Tool

This announcement represents a single point in time. Future releases may impact the information below.
Feature Announced: April 23, 2019  /  Feature Released: May 15, 2019

Configure Fields as Required, Optional or Hidden in the Site Diary Tool

Procore now allows users with 'Admin' permissions to the Company Admin tool to configure fieldsets for sections in the Site Diary tool. A fieldset is a group of fields that determines whether data entry is optional, required or hidden from view when team members create or edit an item.

Once applied to a project, these configured fieldsets will override Procore's default fieldsets for that section. When team members create an entry in the Site Diary, they will see the fieldsets as they were configured for your company. See Create New Configurable Fieldsets.

Overview

The Manpower, Notes and Daily Construction Report sections can have certain fields configured. This means you will be able to mark certain fields as required or optional or hide them from view. See Which fields in the Site Diary tool can be configured as required, optional or hidden?

Once fieldsets have been configured for a section, you will need to apply the settings to one or more projects to see the changes in the Site Diary. See Apply Configurable Fieldsets to Projects.

If you want a project to show the Procore Default options for certain fieldsets again, you can remove the project(s) from the selection to return to the default configured fieldsets. See Remove Configurable Fieldsets from Projects.

New Workforce Labour Tracking Types

There are six additional workforce labour types that can be added to the Daily Construction Report in the Site Diary: Women, Veteran, Minority, First-Year Apprentice, Local (City) and Local (County).

In order to track hours for these additional workforce labour types, these fields must first be configured in Site Diary section of the Company Admin tool and then applied to one or more projects. See How do I enable additional workforce labour types for the Site Diary?
