Add the Unit-Based Columns to a Procore Budget View
Objective
To create and configure budget view columns for the unit-based financial feature and add those columns to the 'Procore Standard Budget' view.
Background
The following source columns can be added to Procore's non-ERP Standard Budget views:
- Standard Budget Columns
Before you can track productivity on your budget, you must first set up three columns on the budget view that you want to use:- Unit Cost
- Budgeted Production Unit of Measure (UoM)
- Budget Unit Qty
- Source Columns
- Change Event Unit Qty (which can be used as filters for Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and Revenue ROM)
- Direct Costs Unit Qty
- Main Unit Qty
- Timecard Entry Hours
- Calculated Columns
In addition to being able to create calculated columns with the unit-based columns listed above, there is also a new 'Number' column. The 'Number' column treats entries in the column as a number value, rather than a currency or percentage value. For example, if you create this column on your budget and then enter the number 10 as an entry in this column, you can use that number as a multiplier in a budget line calculation (for example, $1,000 times 10 equals $10,000). For more information about creating calculated columns, see Set Up a New Budget View.
