To create a crew in the Crews tool.
Laborers on job sites are managed into groups called crews so they can be more easily organized. Each crew consists of workers who perform one or more scope of work (such as a crew of concrete workers) and is lead by a Crew Lead or Foreman, who is responsible for the crew’s work.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- ‘Standard’ or ‘Admin’ on the Crews tool.
- Navigate to the Crews tool.
- Click Create in the top right corner.
- Click Create Crew.
Select the checkbox(es) next to the employee(s) you want to add in the "Select Crew Members and Crew Lead" window.
Note: To appear in this list, the person must be added as a "worker" in the Crews tool or added to the Project or Company Directory and a tick must appear in the 'Is Employee of [Your Company]
' box on their profile. For more information on how to check for this setting in a user's profile, see Edit a User Account in the Project Directory. If the employee is only added to the Company Directory, the setting “Employees Can Be Tracked On All Projects’ must be enabled. Select a Crew Lead by clicking the Set as Crew Lead button next to the employee’s name.
Note: A "worker" will not be able to be set as a Crew Lead.
Enter a name for your Crew.
