Configure Programme Notification Emails


To configure a user's settings in the Project Directory or Programme Settings to notify that user by email any time certain actions are performed in the project's Programme tool.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • 'Admin' level permission on the project's Directory tool.
    • 'Admin' level permission on the project's Programme tool. 
  • Requirements:
    • For these settings to go into effect, the Project level Programme tool must be enabled.





  1. Navigate to the project's Directory tool. 
  2. Click Users.
  3. Click Edit next to the user you want to enable or change programme notifications for.
  4. Scroll to 'Programme Notifications'.
  5. Mark one or more of the following checkboxes:
    • All Project Tasks (Weekly). Mark this tickbox to notify the user about future tasks that are added to the project programme (a.k.a., programmed tasks). 
      • Note: Emails will NOT be sent automatically if there are no to-do items or tasks for the given time period or if tasks are 100% complete. However, emails will still be sent if Send Project Programme Now is clicked.
    • Resource Tasks Assigned To. Mark this tickbox and select a resource to notify the user about programmed tasks assigned to the selected resource.
    • Upon Programme Changes. Mark this tickbox to notify the user about changes to the project programme. 
    • Upon Programme Change Requests. Mark this tickbox to notify the user when a variation request is made to the project programme. 
    • Project Programme Lookahead (Weekly). Mark this tickbox to notify users about Lookaheads added to the project. 
  6. Click Save.

Note: This page is only available to users who also have 'Admin' permission to the project's Directory tool.

  1. Click Permissions Table in the right sidebar.
  2. Set each user's permission for the Programme tool according to your preferences.

  3. Choose which resource the user is associated with from the drop-down menu under the Resource column.
  4. Select which (if any) weekly emails they will receive. 
    Note: Edit when and how often these emails are sent out in the Email Settings page.

  6. In the example screenshot below, the user has 'Read-only' level permissions and is receiving weekly project emails.
