Add or Manage Bill of Quantities for a Cost Item in Portfolio Financials
Objective
To add or manage Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for a cost item in the Cost Tracker of a Portfolio Financials project.
Background
The Cost Tracker section in Portfolio Financials is used to track committed and forecasted costs against your budget over the course of a project.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Full Access' to the project or higher.
- Additional Information:
- Bill of Quantities will pull into a contract if it is awarded directly from the Cost Tracker, as opposed to through tendering.
Steps
To add Bill of Quantities:
- Navigate to the Cost Tracker section of the Project Page.
- Click the arrow icon next to the cost item you want to add a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to.
- Click Add BOQ to [cost item].
- Enter a name for the BOQ in the text box.
- Click Add BOQ to add the BOQ to the cost item.
- Optional:
- To add another BOQ to a cost item:
- Hover over the BOQ and click the vertical ellipsis icon.
- Choose one of the following:
- Click Insert BOQ above if you want the new BOQ to show above the existing BOQ.
OR - Click Insert BOQ below if you want the new BOQ to show below the existing BOQ.
- Click Insert BOQ above if you want the new BOQ to show above the existing BOQ.
- Enter a name for the BOQ in the text box.
- Click Add BOQ to add the BOQ to the cost item.
- To add another BOQ to a cost item:
To rename Bill of Quantities:
- Hover over the BOQ you want to rename and click the vertical ellipsis icon.
- Click Rename.
- Enter the revised name in the text box.
- Press ENTER or RETURN on your keyboard to save the changes.
To delete Bill of Quantities:
- Hover over the BOQ you want to delete and click the vertical ellipsis icon.
- Click Delete.
- On the 'Delete Budget Detail' window, click Delete.
