View Messages in the Conversations Tool (iOS)

Objective 

To view messages in the Conversations tool on the Procore iOS app.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • You must exist in the project's Directory tool.
 Note
  • Unread messages in the Conversations tool are shown in bold text.
  • If you are mentioned in a conversation or receive a new message, a notification badge icon-notification-badge-cnvs.png is shown next to the relevant message in the Conversations tool until you view it. See Mention a User in a Conversation (iOS) and Send a Message in the Conversations Tool (iOS).
    Note: The number in the badge indicates the number of new messages in the conversation.
 Important
The Conversations tool is compatible with iOS version 2023.0327 or later. Please update to the latest version to effectively use the Conversations tool. 

Steps

  1. Open the Procore app on an iOS mobile device.
  2. Tap the project's Conversations tool.
  3. Tap the drop-down menu to filter your conversations by one project or multiple projects. 
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Tap the type of conversation you want to view all associated messages for:
    • Direct Messages: Messages that were sent using a direct message between one or more individuals.
    • Groups: Messages sent within a group that exists for the Conversations tool.
    • Items: Messages related to items you follow in the project, such as RFIs. 
      Note: When you tap to view an item from a project that isn't the active project, you will receive an alert that the active project will change. 
  6. Tap Clear Filters to view conversations for all projects.
