Assign Project Roles for Workforce Planning
Objective
To assign project roles for Workforce Planning.
Background
Project roles identify key contacts on your projects, such as the site manager, foreman, project manager and so on. You can filter for project roles when viewing your projects. Finally, project roles can be included in assignment alerts so your workforce knows who to contact when they arrive at the jobsite.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool and 'Admin' level permissions within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.
OR
'Read Only' permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool with the 'Edit Project Roles' and 'View Project Roles' granular permissions within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.

- Project roles can be displayed on your Projects List so that you can see key contacts.
- You can include people with project roles in assignment alerts as points of contact. See Configure Custom Assignment Alerts for Projects.

Steps
- Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
- Click Projects and select Project List.
- Click the name of your project.
- Locate the 'Project Roles' section and click New.
- Select a Job Title by using the Select Role drop-down menu. See Create Job Titles for Workforce Planning.
- Select the Assignee from the drop-down menu.
- Click Save.
