Create Items from Photos (iOS)
Objective
To create items in other project tools from a photo on an iOS mobile device.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Standard' level permissions or higher on the project's Photos AND the tool where you are creating the item.
- Additional Information:
- You can create items for the following tools: Site Diary, Change Events, Correspondence, Incidents, Observations, Snag List, RFI, Daywork Sheets and Tasks.
Steps
You can create an item from:
Create an Item from Camera Mode
- Navigate to the project's Photos tool in the Procore app using an iOS mobile device.
- Tap the Tools screen, tap the Create icon.
- Tap Take Photo.
- Tap the shutter to take a photo.
- Tap the photo thumbnail to open the recent photos tray.
- Tap Select.
- Select the photos you are creating an item from.
- Tap the Create Item icon.
- Select the item you want to create.
Note: 'Standard' level permission is required on the tool where you are creating an item. - Fill in the necessary fields for the item you are creating.
- Tap Save or Create.
Create Item from Photo Gallery
- Navigate to the project's Photos tool in the Procore app using an iOS mobile device.
- Open the photo you are creating an item from.
Note: In the Album view, you can select multiple photos by tapping the album that contains the photos, then tapping Select OR you can select a single photo from the Feed and Timeline views. - Tap Create Item.
- Select the item you want to create.
Note: 'Standard' level permission is required on the tool where you are creating an item. - Fill in the necessary fields for the item you are creating.
- Tap Save or Create.
