Below are the notable changes to the Company level Directory tool in 2020.

New Company Level Granular Permissions for Viewing and Managing Directory Information (7/12/2020)

Procore has added new granular permissions to allow users with 'Read Only' and 'Standard' level permissions on the Company level Directory tool to view and manage user and company records. These granular permissions can be applied on company permissions templates, which are created and managed in the company's Permissions tool. New View Pages for User and Company Records (7/12/2020)

Procore has added new 'View' pages on user and company records in the Company level Directory tool. See View User Details in the Company Level Directory Tool and View Company Details in the Company Level Directory Tool.

Select a Company Permissions Template when Adding or Updating User Accounts (17/11/2020)

With the release of company permissions templates (permissions templates for Company level tools), users with the appropriate permissions can now select a company permissions template when adding or updating user accounts in the Company level Directory tool. See Add a User Account to the Company Directory and Edit a User Account in the Company Directory. Company permissions templates are created and managed in the company's Permissions tool. Added 'Work Classification' Column to the User Import Template (22/10/2020)

Procore has added a 'Work Classification' column to the user import template. Entries must match the 'Classifications' list in the Company Admin tool (see Add a Classification). Entries also interact with the Project level Timesheets tool (see Enable Classifications). To obtain the user import template, follow the steps in Download the User Import Template. Self-Unlock Account by Resetting Password (27/4/2020)

If your Procore account enforces a lockout policy, a user who has failed to log in successfully after three attempts will automatically be locked out of their user account. In addition to the option to contact your company's Procore account administrator to unlock their account, users now have the alternative option to unlock their account themselves by resetting their password. 'Permission Templates' and 'Permission Exports' Sections Moved to Permissions Tool (13/4/2020)

The 'Permission Templates' and 'Permission Exports' sections in the Company level Directory have been moved to the company's Permissions tool. See Manage Permission Templates.

Updates to SSO Login Management (24/3/2020)

If your company's email domain is managed by SSO in Procore and you have 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Directory tool, you can now change the login email address for other users who belong to the same SSO domain and for other users who only have user accounts in your company's Procore account. See Can I change a person's email address in the Directory? Users whose company's email domain is managed by SSO in Procore and who do not have 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Directory tool cannot change their own login email address. Assign Classifications to Users and Contacts (19/3/2020)

Users with 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Directory tool can now assign classifications to users and contacts. See Edit a User Account in the Company Directory and Edit a Contact in the Company Directory. Users with the appropriate permissions on the Project level Directory tool can assign classifications to a project's users and contacts. Edit a User Account in the Project Directory and Edit a Contact in the Project Directory. Classifications are configured in the Company level Admin tool. See Add a Classification.

'Contacts' and 'Inactive Contacts' Tabs Added to Directory (19/3/2020)

The new 'Contacts' and 'Inactive Contacts' tabs in the Directory tool are populated with contacts (formerly known as 'reference users') created from one or more projects' Incidents and Crews tools. Users with 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Directory tool can edit, inactivate and reactivate contacts. Contacts can be edited in the Project level Directory by users with the appropriate permissions. See Edit a Contact in the Project Directory.

Permission Template Type Name Changes (6/3/2020)

Permission template types have been renamed. Company permission templates, which can be assigned to any user on any project, are now called global permission templates. Project permission templates, which can be assigned to any user in the corresponding project's Directory, are now called project specific permission templates.
