Manage Specification Log
Objective
Manage your project's specifications using the Specifications tool in Procore.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- While users with 'Read Only' or higher permissions can view the log page and perform certain actions, most actions for managing the specification log require 'Admin' permission. See the relevant articles in the Available Tasks section to view the exact permissions required to perform each task.
Steps
- Navigate to the project's Specifications tool.
- The Specifications tool opens to the log by default. The grey headings organise your specifications into divisions.
- Edit: Click Edit in the row of an individual spec section or click the blue caret in the top of a cell you want to change. See Edit Spec Sections.
- View: Click Info to view the specification section's details or Open to view the full spec section. For more details see View or Open Specifications.
- Additional actions: Mark the tickbox next to one or more spec section to activate the action buttons (such as 'Generate Submittals', 'Edit', 'Download', 'Delete') above the list.
Note: Take bulk actions by clicking multiple tickboxes, the box next to a grey division header or the first tickbox in the whole log. - More resources: Find more information on managing the specification log in the links below.
