Procore

2021

Below are the notable changes to the Project level Timesheets tool in 2021.

Create Custom Fields for the Timesheets and My Time Tool (13/12/2021)

Procore has added the ability to create custom fields for the Timesheets and My Time tools. These custom fields function like other fields in Procore and can be included in reports in the Company and Project level Reports tools. See Create New Custom Fields.

New Configurable Fieldsets for Timesheets and My Time Tools (12/07/2021)

Your company's Procore Administrator now has the ability to create configurable fieldsets for the Timesheets and My Time tools. This new feature enables your company to define which fields are Required, Optional or Hidden in these tools. In addition, you can also configure unique settings for each tool (in the past, these tools were required to share the same settings). For details, see Admin: New Configurable Fieldsets for the Timesheets and My Time Tools

Multi-Tier Approval for Timekeeping Now Supported in Mobile Apps (29/03/2021)

Procore has updated the multi-tier approval feature for timekeeping by expanding the process to support approvals on Procore's mobile apps. Now, mobile users who have been granted 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the Project level Timesheets tool with the 'Review & Edit Timesheets' granular permission on the project permission template can create new timesheets in the 'Pending' status and change the status of a timesheet to 'Reviewed' in the Project level Timesheets tool. They can also change the status from 'Pending' to 'Reviewed' on project timesheets that they have permission to view using the Company level Timesheets tool. For details, see Review a Timesheet (Android) and Review a Timesheet (iOS). 'Admin' users can also now Approve a Timesheet (Android) and Approve a Timesheet (iOS)

Added 'Cost Type' to Custom Reports for the Timesheets Tool (29/03/2021)

You can now add the 'Cost Type' column to the custom reports that you create for the Timesheets tool. To learn how to create a custom report, see Create a Custom Company Report and Create a Custom Project Report.

Enhanced the 'Review & Edit Timesheets' Granular Permission (24/03/2021)

Procore has enhanced the privileges for the 'Review & Edit Timesheets' granular permission. Before this update, users with 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the Project Timesheets tool who were granted this granular permission could edit any timecard entry in the 'Pending' status. They could also change the status of a timecard entry from 'Pending' to 'Reviewed' in the Project Timesheets tool. With this update, you can now also Edit a Timecard Entry in the Company Level Timesheets Tool, change the status of a timesheet from 'Pending' to 'Reviewed' and perform bulk actions on your project items using the Company Timesheets tool. See Perform Bulk Actions in the Company Level Timesheets ToolEdit Your Company's Timesheets in Bulk, and Duplicate Your Company's Timesheets in Bulk.

Moved the 'Classifications' Tab to the Project Admin Tool (22/02/2021)

Procore has moved the settings in the 'Classifications' tab of the Timesheets tool to a new 'Classifications' tab in the Project level Admin tool. Users can now also configure which classifications are available for use with Procore's project timekeeping tools. To learn more, see Field Productivity: Enable Classifications on a Project.

New Multi-Tier Approval for Timekeeping (10/02/2021)

Procore has updated the Timesheets tools to support multi-tier approval. You'll see the new 'Reviewed' status in the Project level Timesheets tools and a 'Completed' status in the Company level Timesheets tool. This provides your team with improved visibility into timecard entries on a project and also ensures greater accuracy to help ensure that timecard entry mistakes are caught earlier in the review process. We've also updated the permissions templates feature to include a new 'Review & Edit Timesheets' granular permission for the Project level Timesheets tool. You'll also see a new 'Date' column for individual timecard entries. To learn more, see Timesheets: Multi-Tier Approval for Timekeeping.

Zero-Hour Entry in Timesheets Now Also Supported in the My Time App (12/01/2021)

The My Time tool in the Procore for Mobile apps now supports zero (0) hour time entries. This new capability is similar to the functionality that currently exists in the Timesheets tool and provides your team with the flexibility it needs to enter time off and per diem.
