Create a Change Event from a Daywork Sheet


To create a change event from a daywork sheet


If one or more daywork sheet(s) results in a change to a contract's scope of work, you can use the Bulk Actions menu in the Daywork Sheets tool to create a new change event. To perform this action, you will need to have the appropriate permissions on the project's Change Events tool and the Daywork Sheets tool. When you perform this action, Procore automatically lists the Daywork Sheets that you selected in the 'Description' field of the new change event. 

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'To create a change event in the Daywork Sheets tool:
      • Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Daywork Sheets tool
      • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Change Events tool.
  • Alternate ways to create change events:



  1. Navigate to the project's Daywork Sheets tool.  
  2. Under the All Sheets tab, do the following:
    • Locate the daywork sheets that you want to associate with a new change event. 
    • Mark the checkbox(es) for those daywork sheet(s) 
  3. Click the Bulk Actions menu and choose Create a Change Event from the drop-down list. 
    This creates a new change event and takes you to the change events page. The daywork sheets appear as hyperlinks in the 'Description' field as shown below. 
  4. Optional: To open the Daywork Sheet from the change event, click a link in the Description field. 
    • If you delete the 'Description' field in the change event, the daywork sheet hyperlinks are also deleted.
    • If you decide to add the daywork sheet hyperlinks back, you can manually add them by opening the daywork sheet in your web browser and copying the page URL. Then paste it into the Description field. 
  5. Continue with the steps in Create a Change Event
